Biography |

Dan Burch was born and raised in Louisville, KY as the youngest of seven children. He first began playing tennis at age 4 and went on to be a highly ranked junior player winning numerous titles as well as being honored with the Kentucky Tennis Association's Sportsmanship Award at age 18. He went on to play for legendary Coach Dennis Emery at the University of Kentucky. Dan is a certified USPTA Tennis Professional and has coached several champion players. He has been in the sales and marketing field in Lexington for 18 years.
Besides tennis, Dan has been involved with the SportsLeader program, which trains coaches on how to implement virtue into their game plan. In the fall of 2007, he became frustrated hearing of the negativity in sports, particularly in high-profile athletes. Putting thoughts into action he founded and hosts the "SportsLeader Spotlight," a 2-minute radio segment that showcases superior athletes with sterling character and Christian beliefs. It is currently being broadcast in three cities (Louisville, Lexington & Cincinnati) with future syndication planned.
He has been married to wife, Kim, for 14 years and they have three children: Anna, Joe & Cate. They are parishioners at Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary in Lexington.
