Father Benedict Groeschel joins Catholic Athletes for Christ!

Father Groeschel has joined the newly created CAC Clerical Advisory Board.   CAC is honored and thankful to have Father Groeschel join with us in our efforts to evangelize the world of athletics.  In his typically humble and self-deprecating manner, Father Benedict explains “I couldn’t even catch a cold when I played baseball as a boy, nonetheless, I am excited to join with the Bishops and athletes of CAC to promote an authentically Catholic view of sports.”     CAC president and founder Ray McKenna commented, “CAC looks forward to Father Benedict’s wisdom and guidance as we move forward to accomplish our mission.”

Father Benedict Joseph Groeschel, CFR is a Roman Catholic priest, retreat master, author, psychologist and host of the television talk program Sunday Night Live with Father Benedict Groeschel, which is broadcast on the Eternal Word Television Network. He is the director of the Office for Spiritual Development for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York as well as associate director of Trinity Retreat and the executive director of The St. Francis House. He is professor of pastoral psychology at St. Joseph's Seminary in New York. He is one of the founders of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.
