The Most Reverend John O. Barres, D.D, S.T.D., J.C.L.,
Fourth Bishop of Allentown

Bishop Barres was born on September 20, 1960 and is a native of Larchmont, New York. He  is a graduate of Phillips Academy (Andover), Princeton University (BA in English Literature), and the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration (MBA in Management).  Bishop Barres was ordained a Bishop and installed as the fourth Bishop of Allentown by His Eminence, Justin Cardinal Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia at the Cathedral of Saint Catharine of Siena in Allentown on July 30, 2009. 

Bishop Barres played basketball while attending the University of Princeton and is an avid sports fan.  He maintains a strong desire to share the Gospel through athletics. 

Archbishop O'Brien

The Most Reverend Edwin F. O'Brien
Archbishop of Baltimore, Maryland

Archbishop O'Brien was born in the Bronx, N.Y. and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of New York in 1965. Pope Benedict appointed him Archbishop of Baltimore on July 12, 2007. He served as the Archbishop for the Military Services from 1997 -2007. He has served as Rector of St. Joseph's Seminary, Dunwoodie, N.Y. and the Pontifical North American College, Rome. He also worked with Cardinals Terence Cooke and John O'Connor.

Archbishop Dolan

The Most Reverend Timothy M. Dolan
Archbishop of New York

Archbishop Dolan was born in 1950 and was named Archbishop of New York by Pope Benedict XVI on February 23, 2009. Archbishop Dolan served as the Bishop of Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 2002-2008. He has also served as the Auxiliary Bishop of St. Louis and the rector of the Pontifical North American College in Rome. The new Bishop Dolan chose for his Episcopal motto the profession of faith of St. Peter: "Lord to whom shall we go?" (Jn 6:68). Archbishop Dolan is an avid sports fan and an enthusiastic advocate of sharing the gospel through athletics. While in Milwaukee, Archbishop Dolan occasionally presided over CAC’s Mass for the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team.

Bishop Chaput

The Most Reverend Charles J. Chaput
Archbishop of Denver, Colorado

Archbishop Charles J. Chaput was born September 26, 1944, in Concordia, Kansas and was ordained to the priesthood on August 29, 1970. Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Denver on February 18, 1997. He previously served as Bishop for the Diocese of Rapid City, South Dakota.

Bishop Finn

The Most Reverend Robert Finn
Bishop of Kansas City–St. Joseph, Missouri

Bishop Finn was born in St. Louis on April 2, 1953 and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of St. Louis on July 7, 1979. He was elevated to the episcopacy on May 3, 2004. Bishop Finn recently celebrated Mass for the Kansas City Royals and the Detroit Tigers at Kaufman Stadium on 2006. During his homily, Bishop Finn explained the importance of incorporating faith into all aspects of our life including sports. "Whether we play ball or work in an office, we need to be disciples. We need to bring faith into all aspects of our life."

Most Reverend Bishop Michael F. Burbidge
Bishop of Raleigh, North Carolina

Bishop Burbidge was born June 16, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA. He appointed Rector of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in 1999. In 2002 he was ordained an auxiliary bishop of Philadelphia.  On June 8, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI named Bishop Burbidge the fifth Bishop of the Diocese of Raleigh. Bishop Burbidge is an avid fan of his beloved Philadelphia Eagles and strongly encourages involvement in sports and fitness among the men in formation for the Priesthood.

Bishop Paprocki

The Most Reverend Thomas J. Paprocki
Bishop of Springfield, Illinois

Bishop Paprocki was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1952. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1978 and elevated to the episcopate in 2003. He was appointed Bishop of Springfield. Illinois on April 20th, 2010. He co-founded the Chicago Legal Clinic, which provides legal sevices for the poor. Bishop Paprocki was known as the "holy goalie" in Chicago where he played goal in a men's hockey league twice a week and he remains a loyal and enthusiastic fan of the Chicago Blackhawks. He has also run several marathons."For me," Bishop Paprocki said, "there is a strong connection between athletic activity and spirituality. I heartily subscribe to the maxim, 'Anima Sana in Corpore Sano" (A Sound Mind in a Sound Body)."

The Most Reverend Martin D. Holley
Auxiliary Bishop of Washington

One of 14 children, Bishop Martin D. Holley was born in Pensacola, Florida in 1954. A basketball standout in college, he was named Outstanding Athlete for Alabama State University before entering the seminary. He was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of Pensacola in 1987 and an auxiliary bishop of Washington in June 2004. Bishop Holley has served as Vicar for the District of Columbia and currently is Vicar for Ethnic Ministries for the Archdiocese of Washington.

Bishop Catanello

The Most Reverend Ignatius Catanello
Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn, New York

Bishop Catanello was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1938 and was raised to the episcopacy in l994. He is an avid sports fan and provides mass for members of the New York Mets baseball club during the season at Shea Stadium. He has been involved with interfaith and interreligious activities for a decade as chairman of the diocesan Ecumenical Commission. His particular emphasis is on Catholic-Islamic dialogue. For 27 years he taught theology at St. John's University in Queens, N.Y. as an adjunct professor.

Bishop Catanello

The Most Reverend Joseph P. McFadden
Tenth Bishop of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Joseph P. McFadden was born in Philadelphia on May 22, 1947. He graduated from Saint Joseph University in 1969 and while at St. Joseph he played on the freshmen basketball team. On graduating from SJU, Bishop McFadden coached the J. V. Baseball Team, the J.V. and Varsity Basketball Teams. In 2004, he was appointed auxiliary bishop of Philadelphia. On June 22, 2010 Pope Benedict XVI named Bishop McFadden the Tenth Bishop of Harrisburg. He was installed in St. Patrick Cathedral on August 18, 2010. Bishop McFadden is an big fan of athletics and was instrumental in establishing the first CAC high school chapter in Philadelphia.

Bishop Catanello

Bishop James D. Conley

Bishop James D. Conley was ordained as the new auxiliary bishop of Denver on May 30, 2008 at Denver’s Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Bishop Conley has chosen as his episcopal motto, “Heart speaks to heart.” Bishop Conley threw out the “First Pitch” at a Colorado Rockies games in 2010 and is a big fan of baseball and other sports.
